Roman glamour for the discerning time traveler!

I’ve been making assembly jewelry since college. I fell in love with ancient Roman living history (RomanaSum.com), and that led me to recreate more complicated artifacts. Learning metalsmithing was the next step, and it turned out to be incredibly fulfilling. I started making my own modern designs… but this section is where my roots are.

I am a research nerd. I have poured over museums all over the world, not to mention the incredible online collections. I’ve spent years duplicating extant finds. I feel confident in my grasp of the Late Republic – Early Empire aesthetic, and will sometimes combine common materials, elements, motifs, and styles to create original pieces that are “Roman-plausible.”

I don’t use pre-made earwires or modern findings for these pieces – I take pride in the fact that each handmade adornment would fit in well in ancient Rome. No two are ever exactly alike.
