Phallic Good Luck Charms
$50.00 Add to cartQuick ViewPhallic Good Luck Charms
Phallic images were very popular in Ancient Rome to ward off the evil eye (invidia) and generally be protective. The gold rings pictured (British Museum collection) are child-sized or meant to be worn on the pinky. I wrote a paper on this topic a few years ago and bring a hard copy to events. Itโs the one paper I donโt post online. ๐ Please contact me if you’d like one – I’ll send you pics of the options I have in your size, so you can choose the one that speaks to you. ๐ I always have a handful in stock in sterling silver, and can make them in brass if you prefer.
While I can’t promise a discount on your chariot insurance, I can guarantee not one single ancient Roman died of Covid while wearing one of these.
