I had a profoundly beautiful evening with amazing women about a week ago. We had all been together in Nicaragua for a continuing education retreat focused on embodiment in February. It had only been two months, but somehow it felt like a year. All of us had experienced shifts in our lives and ways of thinking. It was amazing to have everybody back in the same place: We all had to travel at least a little to meet up in Portland.

We talked about “Braiding Sweetgrass”, a book about plant science, lore, and personal stories by a Native American botanist (Robin Wall Kimmerer – she reads the audiobook and it’s gorgeous). The section on the gift mindset was profound for me, and that entire night was a gift. I wanted to recognize the magic of the evening and so I made these little silver braided Sweetgrass pendants for my friends.
